You will be responsible for:
Participates in an environment that ensures quality work, group morale and is conductive to maintaining effective lines of communication
Demonstrates teamwork approach by assisting coworkers in expediting processes to ensure efficient and effective workflow in the delivery of quality care
Provides excellent customer service to our patients, physicians, offices and coworkers
Capable of handling various aspects of the job simultaneously while maintaining a calm outward appearance
Assists physicians in cases of adverse reaction or in acute emergencies as necessary
Demonstrates knowledge of emergency codes, location of emergency equipment and method of activation
Fulfills requirements of Scrub Position giving care appropriate to age under supervision of physician
Follows hospital and department protocols for sterile technique, patient monitoring and patient safety requirements.
Performs duties in compliance with universal precaution and infection control
Maintains radiation protection standards for patients, employees and self according to ALARA principles
Maintains required credentials, licenses and certifications within required renewal dates
Adheres to department standards for on call coverage
Obtains required patient history and/or consents, reviews for accuracy, completeness and verifies patient identification and information prior to procedure
Verifies lab results prior to procedure to determine that the results are within the normal ranges for procedure and that the patient is a candidate for administration of contrast material according to protocol
Responsible for cleaning equipment, exam rooms and keeps an orderly work area for improved efficiency
Proficient in required computer programs, documentation and computer charting
What will you need?
Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, Invasive Cardiovascular Technology, Paramedic Program or Respiratory Therapist Program
Cardiac or special procedure experience – Preferred
ECG interpretation experience - Preferred
Certified/Registered Radiologic Technologist, Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist, Paramedic or Respiratory Therapist in State of FL
Registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Basic Life Support (Accredited through American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) -(Accredited through American Heart Association or American Red Cross) – Preferred or must be acquired within three (3) months of employment
