Our multi-facility campus includes 148 acute-care beds at Metroplex Adventist Hospital in Killeen, 60 psychiatric care beds in the nearby Metroplex Behavioral Health Center, and 25 beds at Rollins Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas. Through this Metroplex Health System, we offer a Women’s Center, Sleep Disorder Center, Endoscopy Center, Pediatric Rehabilitation Center, ICU, PCU, ED, imaging, and surgery.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Performs Direct patient care activities that are developmental and age specific for the population served; The Licensed Vocational Nurse is under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and the assigned charge nurses. This care is consistent with the hospital accountabilities, Standards of Practice and in support of the Nursing Service and patient care goals. Actual roles and tasks may vary depending upon the unit or department assigned. Effectively communicates with the RN, Nurse Manager, Nursing Supervisor, and the physician any patient needs.

$34 plus differentials

Active RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS

4 shifts in a 4-week Period Max. of 59 hrs. pay period

2 weekend shifts required.

2 major/2 modified holidays per year

Level II

1 year of acute or specialized exp.

Explanation: 8 shifts a month in 1 department

$36 plus differentials

Active RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS

8 shifts in a 4-week Period Max. of 59 hrs. pay period

2 weekend shifts required.

2 major/2 modified holidays per year

Level III A “Critical Care Float”

2 years of acute AND 2 years specialized exp.

Explanation: 8 shifts a month between ER & ICU

$40 plus differentials

Active RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS

8 shifts in a 4-week Period Max. of 59 hrs. pay period

2 weekend shifts required.

2 major/2 modified holidays per year

Level III B “Specialty Float”

2 years of Med Surg OB AND 2 years specialized exp.

Explanation: 8 shifts a month in Women’s

$40 plus differentials

Active RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP

8 shifts in a 4-week Period Max. of 59 hrs. pay period

2 weekend shifts required.

2 major/2 modified holidays per year
